Hi,

I am new to escorting and have been learning lots off the site and wanted to ask advise about who or what to use to set up a web page.... Should I just used a.w to start with maybe? I have just looked at moonfruit., I have also noticed a lovely site that was set up by webgenie for another escort.... If someone can share some ideas or views that would be great.  I am a mature escort that is considering going it alone and setting up a nice classy apartment.

Hi there! I'm brand new, too.

I was researching site developers and I'm gonna sign up with http://www.cuties-tools.com, when I'm prepared to start paying for it. They're reasonably priced and have great looking, very slick sites. And a built in screening form!

As for now, I've set up a little something on wordpress, as I understand they are sex worker friendly. It's free, easy and they have lots of layouts to choose from. If you wanna look at it (& feel free to critique it), the address is http://sammiedee.wordpress.com.

Good luck!  :D

I have a .com site and I'm based in the UK - benefits are you can keep your registration details from public view.
Best advice I can give to any escort is have a sense of humour - it sees you through the most surreal of appointments.

yeah I used webgenie, they were GREAT I had loads of questions and they answered all very quickly, I decided to go for a bespoke site rather than a template to stand out a bit, and it was worth every penny as most of my clients come from my own site and always comment on it!  Kx

Hi Kelly.... hehe.. it was yours I was sooo impressed with to be honest... yes I agree and would also give compliments too.  Can I ask if it was really expensive.. I am just setting up... and pennies are not running into my hand at the mo... (I am with an agy) I also need to get somewhere if I go to the trouble of a site to ensure I max out on the opportunities that come my way... well that was what I was thinking with my limited knowledge at the mo.

Hey Misha, sorry for taking so long to get back.

As someone said previously, it shouldn't matter about the .com And you being in the UK. Cuties Tools is $75 a month and has tons of great features. And   I'm not too HTML or graphics savvy, so they are the best option for me.  :)
My favorite thing is the awesome screening/booking form; they store the user's ID, IP address, location, etc. for 7 days, then it auto destructs).

The screening bit wouldn't apply in the UK though.

Hmmm... I wonder why not? It's just a form  that they enter their info into... once they shoot it off to you, you get an email, can do w/ the info whatever you'd normally do to screen, and the cuties-tools administration will keep a record of their IP address, which I thought were able to be tracked worldwide. I could be totally wrong. I've scoured the site to see if all their features works internatrionally and it says nothing. :\

That's an important issue to me, b/c I'm going to be relocating to Europe in a year or so, and would need a site/screening system that worked there, too.

Sending an email! :)

Sammie, the reason it doesn't apply is not because the 'features' wouldn't work, it's because punters are not expected to provide personal details here - we don't have to worry about them being the police since our work is legal. A website form asking for things like occupation details would pretty much guarantee prospective visitors runnng a mile, I would think and the subject has come up on here quite recently.

We do ask for full names and addresses/booking details for outcalls, but this mainly allows us to establish
we're not going off on a wild goose chase and lets our security buddies raise the alarm in case of anything going wrong. Each country in Europe is different though, so if you know where you will be going it would be worth checking out the local situation there.

Not worrying about them being the fuzz is great, but I'd still worry about batsh*t crazy clients.

They customize the site for you... if you want to leave all the job info stuff off the form, it can be done. :)

I'm going to either be in Paris or some place in Germany, like Berlin or Munich. I haven't made a final decision yet, but would still be concerned about being harmed and still would use the screening form.

If a punter is going to attack you he'll do it anyway - we all screen just not in the same way, and we certainly don't just shag any random bloke who wanders in off the street although I can see how it must appear to people who are used to a different system. The thread I was thinking of this morning is here.

Of your options, I would pick Germany or maybe Belgium - France in general and Paris in particular hasn't got a great reputation as a punting hotspot and apparently a lot of Frenchmen head over the borders because it's so much cheaper, although there is a big (and pretty grim) street scene in Paris itself. I did a couple of bookings on my last visit, and it was OK - not great, but I was only going after a bit of extra money whilst I was visiting and it wasn't a planned exercise as such.

I honestly don't know if or how the screening form would work in any of them, but it certainly isn't the norm in countries where prostitution is legal, and I do think you need to be prepared for a lot of client resistance. Look at it from their point of view; why would they bother when they can see somebody else who doesn't ask them to jump through hoops?

I think you're under the impression the form ask for a lot more info than it does. Name, address, phone number, references, appointment details... all the stuff I'd get in a phone call or email, just on a form on my site. No bigger hassle than normal, I'd assume. Especially since the job verification part isn't a necessity.

I admit that I'm completely ignorant of any screening process really, so I don't know what the difference is b/w here and there.  If they don't want to give me the info I want, fine. I'm not looking to do this full-time; those that want me will deal with it. Also, I feel I'm less likely to get attacked, the more of his personal deets I have.  Maybe I'm wrong.

Guess we'll see.  :)

Germany is looking more and more attractive to me. I studied in Paris for a year, and want to try some place new.  Belgium, eh? Hmm. I was in Belgium once... passing through it really. It seemed quite... dull. That of course is not a fair assessment as I was there for an hour and a half, but still. Berlin seems like TONS more fun. :)
