At the weekend I had a client who was quite young and it was difficult to get a conversation going, I guess he was a bit shy. He told me he was into playing golf. I confessed I had tried golf a couple times but was just useless at putting the ball where I wanted it to go, and would rather stick to pool and billiards.

A while later he said "So how did you get into..." and I immediately thought he was going to say "this business"

No, he said "Playing pool"

It was interesting to me how I'd immediately pre-judged him when he hadn't even got the whole question out. A welcome reminder that we can't put all our clients in the same box.

Technically my last booking which was supposed to happen, didn't actually as he cancelled yesterday due to being paranoid about his partner who had decided at the last moment to accompany him out this afternoon. He's done this several times and is always messing me about but I always insist that he pays me the full fee for cancelling at short notice as he always does it the day or night before which is taking the p**s (and he makes these appointments with a very laid back/sloppy attitude thinking if anything happens I will just cancel her and rebook - however, leading up to the booking I have to put up with lots of nonsense and annoying texts which ordinarily I wouldn't tolerate but as I'm reasonably well paid and he's very easy to deal with on the day, I can tolerate his crap so long as the booking takes place). Anyway, even though the hotel fee was non refundable/transferable, the hotel agreed to refund it when asked so together with the fee for 2 hours, I'm ?500 better off for doing nothing this afternoon. Result! 

*would you believe he's called me this evening already to try and book the next meet which will no doubt not happen due to his careless planning and paranoia...

My last booking was with a guy who was excellent in bed! I could have kissed him, and I did! He was very nice and got on well. Got to love a good booking
