Sore - Everywhere *but* down there

Does anyone else find this job particularly stressful on your neck and shoulders?  Mine are nearly constantly aching these days as though I slept wrong.

Suggestions for relief from these...repetitive motion injuries?  ;)

That sounds a lot like stress/tension

In the past when I've been in bad relationships the tensions caused my to get awful knots in my neck and shoulders (boyfriend left & so did the knots, yay haha)

Anyway a physiotherapist client told me about stretching out the muscles by kind of moving your head to the side and moving shoulder down to stretch out the muscle. Maybe google for some exercises that explain better than I can

Also a physiotherapist or even just massage will help

Yes, to some degree.

When I was incredibly busy in London last week it was my lower back that bothered me. I spent so many hours crouched over crotches that it really got to me. My fanny, on the other hand, was fine because I used Lidocaine.

I get the lower back pain when I'm busy, and I find a bit of yoga or Pilates helps (and it's easy to do in a hotel room :)). You can lie on the floor with your legs stretched up the wall to straighten your spine, too (I have to put something down first but I'm squeamish about carpets, as well as just about everything else).

The neck and shoulder pain does sound like tension, especially if there's on and off headaches too?

I get the tension stuff in my neck and shoulders, too.

Amy, I agree that exercise is key. Unfortunately the only exercise I really like is to lift weights and those aren't going in my suitcase. I may have to look up some body weight exercises to do between bookings. Even some "body builders" (a quick routine of star jump, push up, jump up and repeat) would be helpful. I may try harder next time to find a nearby gym where you can pay to just go in for one use and make sure I do some running on a treadmill and some basic weight exercises.

I got neck pain from work recently, but that was because he did that annoying thing when you have to lift your head up kissing them when they lay above you. In the end I reached up and pulled a pillow for under my head... just not quick enough to stop it aching for the next 2 days  :(

Ohhhhh yes, I have now had to go for sports massage every week for an hour to try rid my back of the knots! ?40 for an hour (the best hour of my life!) is a very small price to pay to be able to work with less pain :)

Babe I dont know where you're based, but the only thing that worked for me ( I have tried accupuncture and hated it, it didnt work) is Hot Bikram Yoga. Its a 90 minutes yoga practice in 45 degrees heat and I swear after all this stretching in a sauna like enviroment I felt like a newborn baby!
I've not done it for ages and now I'm really getting the same problems again! Need to get back into it!
