im 32 and a sex worker. on the nhs website when you go to book vacicine there wasnt even an option that ask if you are high risk , just if your a care worker or health care worker. if you put no its states you cannot book . ?

You're only high risk if you're doing physical bookings though, i.e. not all sex workers will qualify before lockdown ends. Unless you have a pre-existing health condition that makes you more vulnerable, it will probably be a few more weeks before they get down to 30-35s (I think it's currently 50-55?)

I was expecting to get my vaccine in the new few weeks as I'm in the 40s age group, however, instead, they're now giving second vaccines to those who have already had their first vaccine, so I it will be quite a few months until I get a vaccine, and even longer for those in their 30s.

The squabble with the EU has changed the vaccinations as there are now delays in shipments. Additionally, as I type this, am watching the news and one of the newsreaders has just reminded those over 50s who still haven't had their first jab to do so before supplies slow-down.

Am contemplating going to the GUM clinic to see if they can get me an appointment as I really need to start working again.

Hi girls,

I got my vaccine through my main job as I'm an essential worker. I'm so glad some of you other girls have been able to also.

Definitely try your GP's and explain

My GP surgery won't even discuss vaccination, I was pointed in another direction to gain authority but I was eligible I just wanted the reassurance that I would not he turned away.

That's strange. I'm in my 40's and got my vaccine last week the normal way. I guess depends on what area of the country you're in? I was told my second jab is Mid June (WTF). I ask "why so late?" and was told it's because government is giving priority to giving the first shot to as many people as possible (as it's the one that most protects against the virus) rather than giving the second jab to those who already had the first. Makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

Apparently they made a mistake in inviting over 40's and quickly stopped it but said they'd honour the ones who has already managed to book a jab.
I'd heard the opposite, that they are slowing down on first jabs now to concentrate on giving second jabs to stay within the 3 month window which supposedly offers the greatest immunity, especially as it looks like the supply may fall off quite a lot in the next few weeks.

That aligns with what I heard/read.

However, as it happens, I got a text late last night inviting me for a jab today - I now have vaccine number 1 under my belt!

Just goes to show how often the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in such matters lol but pleased to hear you got yours Millie, one less thing to worry about.

I don't know if it's worth putting my vaccination status on my ads. Purely for marketing purposes really. Only had one dose so far but it might be a reassurance to the odd potential client.

This bothers me somewhat, as if everyone starts putting they've been vaccinated, clients may be put off seeing those ladies who can't have the vaccine for medical reasons, which is discriminatory when you think about it.  Not all of us can have the vax.
This is why I think it's a bad idea to intruduce vaccination passports, as there are many who simply who cannot have it, and why discriminate against those and ban them from certain places because they're exempt.

Then people like you should get a passport stating they are exempt from the vaccine for medical reasons. I don't understand why I should stop myself from posting my vaccine status on my website and show awareness to my clients. This is a little bit like going to Tesco without the mask to show solidarity with those who can't wear masks for medical reasons.

I see what you are saying, I feel uncomfortable with the vaccine passport notion.
However it may be reassuring to a client that can't have the vaccine. At the end of the day I can't prove I've had it to clients because my card has my real name on it. So it is more of a marketing thing to give me a potential edge over the competition. As this is business and my livelihood I'm taking advantages where I can.
It's a bit like saying it's discriminatory for me to advertise as British or caucasian, because those that aren't can't, because it's a preference for some clients. It's just a marketing thing.
But it's not black.and white because in other work contexts it would potentially be discriminatory. But in a sex work context is it different?

I have just had my vaccine done i came into another category rather then age. I never really thought about putting up i have had the vaccine no more then STI results could be put up with how often you get checked. I would have thought if i was going to go out of my way to put up health comments i then would want to do it for STI and check clients get tested regularly.

Which to be fair i still cannot believe in 2021 men that want unprotected services don't have to provide proof they get regularly tested.

Just to point out the covid jab is to stop us getting seriously ill if we caught it, there is no evidence yet on if we catch it or pass it on how people will be so the covid jab is more about us. I got that from the.gov website

I wouldn't worry. Once everybody and their dog gets the idea that it would be a good marketing tool (and as EG says, we don't plaster our other health information all over the internet so I agree it would be a bit strange) nobody will believe it anyway, any more than I would believe a punter who approached me banging on about his vaccine status.

Plus I couldn't give a toss whether they've had one or not, again for all the reasons given above.

I've felt like utter crap for the past 24 hours and have barely been able to move. If you're booked in for a vaccine, it might be worth keeping the next day free just in case you feel dreadful.

I did add the fact I've had a jab to my AW profile and did get a half hour booking because of it (I asked), but they're not exactly bashing my door down either way :)
