Despite the clickbaity title, 'My Granny the Sex Worker' is worth a watch.

Omg I loved this!! I particularly liked the grandmother with the blonde hair, can’t remember her name.

There is also one on the All 4 App called The Brothel, it’s set in Germany and pretty good, but the former is the best 🤣

I watched it. It was very interesting but sad for the women. He made a lot of money off the women he was bringing over from.Brazil.

He made millions and only got 5 years!
His accomplice (who was a real cringe) only got community service.
Unreal really, bearing in mind how much misery they brought
It costs a lot to look this cheap.

I saw this when it was first broadcast, really interesting!

Watched 'Hunting the Sex Traffickers' too. Was somewhat incredulous about how the other guy, the one who was making AW profiles for the women, writing their blogs, finding them accommodation and moving them around the UK thought he was a good guy and wasn't complicit. The mind boggles at his delusion about himself. As an aside, due to the use of language, predictable topics and very narrow-minded views of female sexuaity/what men find attractive, I have often wondered if a man/men were ghostwriting various Brazilian blogs/profiles on AW. It seems that is the case for many of them.

What has been even more interesting, and sadly, in many instances, deliberately missing the point, is reading the thoughts of punters on this topic. Many don't realise that they are complicit too, or that don't want to consider that sex trafficking has many facets, and it's not just about women forcibly locked into rooms being made to service men and having to hand over all their money.

Well at least the programme bothered to ask punters - most don't. I'm surprised they didn't pop up here too, although it's really a programme about criminals exploiting people rather than sex work so the link to the vast majority of people here is tenuous at best.

There's another thread on this subject somewhere - I've got a few jobs to do and then I'll try to find it :).

To clarify, the programme did not speak to punters, that aside if my own understanding from reading punter's comments on the programme, and that most are in denial about the circumstances of many of the Brazilians (and also other nationalities) with whom they are paying for sex, and of trafficking itself.

And yes, concur with your point about it being more about exploiting people rather than sex work/the link to the vast majority of us on here :)

The only way I can interpret that is that it's a reference to punting forums, so given that discussion of these, their content and their members is off topic here we'll swiftly move on (and if so it's partly my fault for misunderstanding the post, although if there was a Last Person I'd Expect To Be Reading That Shite flag, it would be flying very enthusiastically now) :)

I think the programme about older ladies as well as the brothel one have all been on again fairly recently, despite there being posts here about them from 5+ years ago. It's a pretty useful reminder of what might seem like a good idea at the time may not be quite as much so when it's being churned out for zillionth time 6, 8, 10 years on when you may have long since packed it in.

Sigh. I know, I know ::)
It is rare I do, and only really because of this programme tbh as I was curious to read their opinions... Stupid, I know.

Back on topic, I watched something on Channel 5 last week about cam girls/Only Fans and sex workers. I think it was called Adults Only. I think the most striking thing about this programme was how little it bought to the topic, and how narrow the types of women the producers have targeted. I think this is often my biggest issue with documentaries about sex workers, they have a certain type of provider in mind when in reality, we come in all shapes and sizes, and don't all look/dress a certain way.
