Parking for clients
« on: 22 April 2019, 11:48:24 am »
I had been trying to book hotels for upcoming  tours this year.
As I'm aware that some  guys may know the local places that are car parks or pay &  displays also the online parking systems
I don't want them to get put off and im try choosing places that are easy to access. I want their visit to be a smooth as possible and stress free.
I hate driving into the cities at the best of times & prefer rail.
So I do realise how it might be important to have a little knowledge of where they can go to when they call up.
Is it something that your clients have problems with either visiting you on tours or Incall visits?
There's so much residents parking bays everywhere it's become a headache  :FF

Yes it something most of my clients who drive are concerned about. I’m right by the town so free packing is ultra limited, I advise them of the 2 big packing spaces closest to me and to come with coins(at least £1) to pay for parking and most are ok with it. The local ones are ok parking a walking 5mins away to save on parking fee.

I think as long as there’s parking within 5mins, most do not mind paying the fee.

Yes it's fair to say 5mins isn't that far.
And some carparks are cheaper.
Depends where though..
Some guys can be put off easily

I scrutinise Google Maps very closely before going somewhere new. If the hotel I'm intending on using is out of town, parking is usually a lot easier. If there's a relatively big supermarket within 5-10 mins walk, I'll chance it. I also use Street View to look for signage about parking on the street.

I think the easier we can make it for guys, the more chance of them actually turning up.
