I also get this very occasionally, and it creeps me out.

I'm a six foot three grown man; I'm not your baby.

Babe/Hun for me, is like nails going down a blackboard. 99% of the time for me they are timewaters.

That’s exactly how I feel too  :FF makes me cringe.. Even if friends call me it too..!
Good girl gone bad ;)

I don't know why, but 'babes' (from someone I haven't met) irritates me so much more than 'babe'.

My least favourite thing though, is someone I hardly know or haven't even met shortening my name to a nickname.

It probably annoys me way more than it should, but a guy did this recently and it really gave me the creeps - it felt as if he was trying to prematurely enforce some kind of intimacy. He was creepy in other ways too though TBF.

Actually I don't mind babe but darling really makes my teeth itch. It just sounds condescending and reminds me of every dirty old man cliche?

I find BBY or Baby worse than Babe or Babes.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I know quite a few people who talk like that generally. I don't think I would like to be called Baby though.

I have one regular who recently sometimes calls me darling but never used to. I think he genuinely means it though and constantly showers me with compliments.

Clients who call me babe or darling are almost guranteed to be creeps.

It's a big red flag when this happens.

Babe is OK as long as they are not referring to the sweet little sheep pig  :)

Anything that indicates a relationship is crap

I don't think anyone's called me babe in person. Maybe cause I'm older than them. I've been called mommy though :)
