tan lines
« on: 14 August 2016, 11:45:19 am »
Hello,

I have terrible tan lines after spending a couple of weeks hitting the running track. I want to get rid of them as they are clearly not pleasing on the eye. If I use a sun bed how many sessions will it take to get rid of them? They are very pale against a light to moderate tan.

Also will they tan and blend in to the rest of my tan, or will i end up with an even darker tan and then tanned lines.

Advise for a sunbed newbie would be great, i.e will it work, length and time intervals for tan sessions.

At the moment I am reluctant to meet clients because the lines are so pronounced

Yes, if you use a sunbed it will make all of your skin darker so the tan parts will get even darker as well.  What I've done in the past is to VERY carefully apply sunless tanner to the lighter areas.  I do this at night before I go to bed.  Let it set for about a half hour then cover myself in baby powder to help it set and not get on my sheets.  Shower in the morning and the lines should be less visible.  I don't know of any way to make them completely invisible but this helps.

I'm sure your clients won't even notice your tan lines they usually more interested in other bits  ;) But if it does bother you, a few sessions on a sunbed will probably even out the whiteness, start on a few minutes every other day (their lowest option) Depending on your skin maybe 4 or 5 sessions should be enough. Alternatively you can get really good fake tans nowadays that look really natural, in the summer months I use vita liberata its quite expensive in Boots but sometimes on offer or you can get it off Ebay cheaper, its the longest lasting that I've found  :)

Thanks for the advice, I might look into the self tan options as an alternative.

I am sure clients are not bothered by them really, its just I am very aware of them and so I feel because of this I may not be able to give my best if I do't feel great.

Tanning bed gives you line as well in creases etc. I tan but use tanning cream on the creases to even it out

Can we keep some sex work context folks, please? There are plenty of beauty (and quite possibly even tanning) forums already.
