A few years ago, a cleaner burst into my room when I was with a client.
I complained to reception immediately and they refunded my entire stay.

Don't sweat it. Maid is probably still shaking thinking you're going to fill a complain and she's going to loose her job.
Mornings were made for sleeping, wild sex and bacon.

That's why when I stay in a hotel, I always put the "do not disturb" on the door so they don't bother me with housekeeping (and I clean the room myself)

I had a few drinks with a friend last night and we had good laugh about it so I feel over it now lol. I think she was more mortified than me so I’m going to forget about it and 100% go back to the hotel I bet they’ve seen it all x
Not today satan

You can buy travel locks/door stops for hotel rooms. Lots of lone women use them for travel. One of the hotels I use has a chain too so I always put that on.

Lock:

Alarmed door stop (but a cheap plastic one would give you time):

I've had it happen twice, thankfully not actually seeing us at it, but yes it is embarrassing but I have to say, been to the same hotel a few times since and I have never had a weird look.  I wouldn't worry too much.

It happens sometimes. Can be unnerving I understand.  But I just laugh now .

I joke and say ... you in or out? 😂😂 only because I've always worked  in hotels for the numerous years. They are more embarrassed than you so don't worry. Many a time I've been fully nude or in the shower having forgot to out the "do not disturb" sign on. Most hotels know what the score is anyway :)

Most cleaners will be more nervous about their job or a complaint than anything else.

I'm sure the poor cleaners have seen every scenario imaginable.

I had a friend a few years ago who was a dominatrix had a cleaner walk in when she had a man handcuffed to all corners of the bed whipping him 😂😂

If there's anything I've learnt with this job is if you don't laugh you'll cry. 😂 giggle it off <3
