Can you live up to the expectations?
« on: 05 July 2009, 05:36:14 pm »
Just though you might like to see the expectations this particular agency has, lol. I know they have put a disclaimer that they don't want to offend, but if our industry was employment act regulated ...

Please be aware that the criteria below is essential and is not a pick and choose menu. If you do not meet who I look for then please, I do not wish to offend but 'Agency Name' will not be right for you.

1.   You have your own car and are totally independent in getting to and from bookings (public transport, your friend driving or taxis will not be acceptable methods of transport)
2.   Your dress size will be under size 12 but your height and weight must be proportionate to your build
3.   You are above average looks. You do not have to be a model but presentation matters and if you have piercings (other than  earrings) or visible tattoos then this will not be something the kind of clients who see our team will find acceptable. The same will go for your hairstyle, long-ish hair and not outstanding fashion colours are the more acceptable styles
4.   You are confident but without aggression
5.   You care about others as well as yourself
6.   You have your own full or part-time professional business occupation and escorting is for fun only and is not because you need an extra income
7.   Your age is mid 20's to mid 30's

So I went though the check list:

Nos 1, 4, 5 - pass

No 2 - damn, not quite, but my clients like my proportions - so what does that say about my clients?

No3 - hmm, beauty is in the eye of the beholder? What is longish? I have a short bob, hardly outragoues?

No6 - my full time professional business occupation is escorting - does that count?

No7 - oops too old, put me out to pasture!  ;)

Guess I'm not going to be taken on by this agency then? hehe.

What?!!! That in particular sticks out. So... you must only escort if you *don't* need/want the money? There are, apparently/feasibly, women who are like this - who love the idea of paid sex with strangers but don't at all need the money. But I would say there's less than 5 of them in the world who'd actually do so. :P

Would it be really against forum policy to give the agency name? They sound like a particularly deluded bunch!

What percentage of women in general would you say probably had their navel pierced?

LMAO
That is totally ridiculous!

How do you define "above good looks"??!! I'm certainly doing this to get extra money to pay bills etc.

Point 5 "You care about others as well as yourself," does the agency what us to add the client to out facebook friends list and send them a Christmas card.

Oh, do name and shame!

Well the list could just run and run couldn't it?

1.Must have an 'inny' bellybutton instead of an outy
2.Must be able to do advanced calculus using just a pencil and a piece of paper
3.Must be able to pat head and rub stomach at the same time....

etc etc etc :D

Yes we do need to know who this particular bunch of berks are i think, just so we can all point and laugh derisively

Yes it is a bit of an odd one isn't it? Find it quite strange that the lady running the agency makes such emphasis on the ladies not 'needing' to escort and having other full time careers. Almost as if being an escort and making a living from it is a shamefull thing, but if you find it so distasteful why choose to run an escort agency? Seem to be a bit of a moral conflict going on.

But on the other hand there is a link on there to SAAFE recommending how good the site is so maybye we had better not be overly harsh (slaps own hand for being bitchy :D)

Must be able to make a bomb using only three paper clips and an elastic band. MacGyver anyone? :)

Not at all. It reminds me why I went indi two weeks into the job. Nobody to tell me I'm too overweight, the wrong colour, or that I have too many tattoos.

Much as I appreciate that, and a great write up as well, thank you, I do think a thread like this is a reminder to newbies and oldies alike that you don't have to fit a certain "type" in order to succeed in this business. If that were the case I wouldn't have lasted five minutes. I never want newbies coming into the business thinking that that's the case.

Maybe they don't want this to be the only escort's income, i.e. have this to depend on and nothing else. Maybe they think escorts are happier knowing they don't have to rely on just that work. I can actually understand that to a point. Anybody in this business long enough knows how mecurial it can be. Maybe they think an escort is more prone to stability if she has an income other than this one.

Why on earth do they even need real women, when a blow-up doll will do. Oh FFS! I have to wonder if only Berlusconi had of used this agency, might things have been different?

I agree with everyone else that the requirement that the escorts don't actually need the money is utterly delusional.

I wonder what they would think of someone like me. I do need the money. Right now, I need it for the startup costs of a completely unrelated business that I recently incorporated.

Sue from the agency recently did an interview here. It's a bit high-falutin' but not bad.

I do think that some of the list is bollocks though - my business is very successful, but I'm a prostitute. How does that make me any different to another busy self-emplyed woman? Plus I don't drive, but have been known to use a driver (and probably would for security now and again if I had a licence). I can't understand why she seems to specifically want women to travel to bookings alone, in their own cars? Then again, you can't argue that it's clear!

What an interesting interview and I personally do not see anything wrong with her criteria as she obviously has a particular client catchment in mind and appears to achieve it. Interesting that she is ex KPMG - they must be shocked at her new choice of career which quite frankly is probably far more honest and value for money than any consulting she may have undertaken with that bunch.

I see George McCoy gets in there with his view on escorts: "they like to pretend they are intelligent, whether they are or not is another matter." Ever the charmer that one.
