Title: Booking cancelled because I wouldn’t text the night before, fuming!!
Post by: TantricTease on 16 October 2019, 08:56:15 am
I am sure that most sp’s have had this happen to them and it’s bloody infuriating! So last night a client I’ve only been with once texts me and asks if he can book at 11am today and I said that was fine, about 15 mins after I sent him ‘goodnight and I’ll see you tomorrow’ (it was just after 11pm that he was texting) then he sent a text saying ‘can’t sleep’, and I thought well I’m not gonna help you sleep or occupy you until you do sleep so I ignored him and my spider senses immediately told me that he’d cancel me today all for not replying and sure as hell at 7.50am he sent a text saying that he had woken up with a rotten cold and so he was cancelling, I knew it I thought! I resisted the urge to send a text saying that I knew and just remained professional  :-X and texted him thanks for letting me know.

I get really angry at clients like this, it’s so petty and a sign that this client doesn’t get that I’m running a business and that he clearly expected me to entertain him in some way for free, I mean how does he know that I’m not married or that I don’t have a family, I was actually in my bed when he texted and that didn’t seem to cross his mind either, it’s so infuriating and I just have to rant here!!!

Yes, this is infuriating and I would feel exactly the same as you.
I would (and have) felt so much worse when I have indulged them (back in the dark ages) only for them to achieve their sleazy little free sext orgasm.. and they cancel anyway.. Who needs to pay full whack when you can lull a pro' into providing you with a free one?  >:(

Pretty sure your guy would have cancelled anyway, just be glad he wasted no more of your time.

I ignore anyone who even hints at this now. I just can't be bothered. I "lose" several bookings a week because I give radio silence on photo requests too.
Not on your bloody nelly!

We have lives, friends, family, hobbies to follow (and sleep! What an ignorant twat to text at that time of night!!)
I would rather listen to a Brexit debate than "talk shop" unpaid for frankly  :-\

With messers especially the ones I met before I  text, 'Don't call me again'. Usually they're quite shocked and all innocent like ;)

If he contacts me again and starts with the texts then I’ll tell him that he’s welcome to deposit some cash into my bank if he wants some text entertainment, and then he will cancel again and then I’ll tell him not to contact me again, I can see it far enough already!

The ratio for every 1 good client is 5 timewasters, god their pettiness is astounding, and they say women are the petty ones!

I have done many similar things in the past and the guys do act very innocent, “oh I didn’t think you’d mind” sort of attitude, of course I frigging mind that your trying to get me to do things for you when there’s nothing in it for us, I’m positive it’s because they think we’re all sex crazed nymphos who see escorting as a ‘hobby’ (I’ve had that said to me before) and that we would jump at the chance of doing anything remotely sexual just for the sheer thrill of it.

I think he just cancelled because he cancelled, not necessarily because you didn't reply.

Maybe change your language style to something more professional other than telling them goodnight. I know it's just general manners etc but I find if I keep it towards a matter of fact style, they are less inclined to engage in neurotic/narcissistic neediness.

I have a strict rule with myself that I don't check my work phone after 10 pm. That way any BS gets seen in the morning & I'm not winding myself up about it at night. I have an automated reply saying messages will be picked up within my working hours. If they can't respect that then it's their problem & shows them up for boundary pushers.

I think I'd have told him to call a chat service next time he can't sleep. Sod professionalism with idiots like this. I'm so impatient with these morons that think we are running a 24 hour business & that we have no life outside escorting. Ignoring automated replies that tell them I wont get their message until next working day. Sometimes a smart arse retort takes away my anger... ;)

Some (not many) keep sending multiple messages until
he gets a reply.
As you say, "as if we/women have no life".
Or it shows his self-centred attitude.
Not nice - in fact, quite R U D E.

Once the booking is finished, his payment is used up.

Read: U S E D U P if he never gets it.

A bit like a laundrette. You put coins in and the machine works.
No matter how many time you "hit" it, it won't work until
he puts more cash into it!
Logic, right?

Some men seem to think "I paid you before"
so "give me
some extra free texts/attention".
It ain't gonna work, mate.
I'm not your unpaid servant.
I have enough family members who
think I am.   ;)

I won't ask my hairdresser to listen to me or
text me in her personal/family time.
She listens when she's doing her paid work.

Even after I said, "please no social text",
there was one man, who ignored
as if he never heard that.
I stopped all contacts then on.
Apparently, it's called "180"  and
it works.   :)
It gives you sanity without these
"characters".
Prostitutes want pure cash.
No strings!

Two possibilities 1) He's "punishing you" for not "relinquishing" your personal boundaries or b) The guy really had a cold. However, I'm going for "a",  a client who you've seen once and texts you at night with a "I can't sleep please entertain me" doesn't respect personal boundaries and is someone to avoid in the future. Does he texts his plumber the day before and let him know "he can't sleep"? Why does he do it to you?

I dont know... he could be telling the truth, there is a terrible flu going around - I know because I've got it.
I worked tuesday and felt fine, that night I couldn't sleep & woke up feeling like death.
I'd probably give him another chance, but if you're worried about him wasting your time, take a deposit x

Love this!
If a guy messages me more than 5 times, I block him. If he goes off on a sexting tangent - I tell him sorry this number is for bookings only. If you continue asking anymore questions you will be blocked..  that usually stops them... even when they turn up for their booking, they are usually very apologetic. Have to be so direct with guys otherwise they dont get it.

I only said goodnight because I wanted to end the texting, it was basically like “goodnight and I shall see you tomorrow at 11am” as in hint hint ‘fuckoff now’!

I have texted many men being Uber professional and telling them that I only want to hear from them if they are after a booking and even for cash I don’t provide sexting, I couldn’t be bothered with that!

My work phone is rubbish so I can’t have automated texts but I have automated emails, I’m going to get a better work phone this weekend.

This happens because so many men do not see sex work as a proper job or a business and this is why they push the boundaries either by texts or in the paid service time. Some have an attitude that they think we are desperate for money so will go beyond the call of duty. Just like when they expect you to give more time past there booking time if they have not exploded yet even though they have had enough time to. The worst ones are the ones that know you have another booking and need time to shower get ready but still do not want to leave or keep saying just 5 more minutes when they already gone over there time as it is.

I expect a lot of clients to behave like this it shows the level of repect they have for our paid job.

If I get 'RU free' in the night, I send back 'No'.

I have a template for sensiblish texts, those which aren't get a reply saying 'This phone does not accept text messages'.

I hardly get guys that try to stay over time but I think I must be quite scary because one guy said from my profile it’s clear that I’m feisty and that’s really what I want, I don’t want men thinking I’m an easy touch.

Oh yeah these types are really annoying. I had an email the other day saying he "wanted to get to know more about me" cringe. I didn't bother to reply. I could have said book my 3 hour lunch date or something. You can guarantee he wont.

I found this behaviour several times with clients who've seen me once. They book again & then when you don't give them the reply they are expecting they cancel. They either want to continue the fantasy with no intention of seeing you again. Or they just don't know how to play it with being green. I'd say 90% of the time though they are just entitled jackasses.

This week I had a regular ask if I was available on my day off. He said he was treating himself for his birthday. This clown had my automated reply with my working days & has seen me 4 times so should know my working days & web address. I didn't bother to reply because he strikes me as a vulnerable narcissist. They hate being ignored & will move onto the next person quick enough. That's our best nemesis with these types. Or exercise grey rock technique (be dull & aloof).

When anyone texts with questions not actually related to how long he wants and what times hes available i have template texts ready and  I refer him back to my website.
If they ask for photos i tell them i dont hold any on my phone and refer them to the gallery on my website.
Any stupid sex texts i usually ignore/block or depending on my mood i may say this line is purely for placing a booking if you wish to text i am happy to do it via aw text option at £1.50 a text that usually makes them disappear lol

I always feel like replying and asking for a picture of their credit card when I get this.

Probably down a similar well-worn road to when they insist they want to send you a photo and you tell them that a nice picture of a pile of crisp fifties would be lovely. Which it would, but they never send them :(

Crisp fifties that they actually own! These idiots would probably use a picture off google
Or when they want to send the other type of picture to prove how "big" they are and if you can "handle" them. That's always cringe

Once in a while I get a text from an unknown and it contains a photo. Except it doesn't  ::) because my work phone is so basic it does not support image sending/receiving.

The phone is so ancient I almost have to wind it up.  :)

As I have said before I have no tolerance for those who want any chit chat or flirting either in between bookings or before a first one. They can jog on.

Unfortunately there are guys out there that make messing with us their livelihood; I always assume it's a power trip on their end. What they never seem to realize (or just don't care?) is there's dozens of websites devoted to them & their phone #s.🤷🏼‍♀️

Except I have been sent this sort of photo cash plus two bottles resembling champagne, by two men who thought it would persuade me to accept their booking after declining on the basis there was another male involved (even knowledge by the other is enough to put me off). I have a strict no booze and I can't consume it full stop, and no other people involved policy (apart from MF couple who can both phone to speak on the same phone, at the same time which is as rare as hen's teeth).
