I gave up "cold turkey". 6 years ago, this month! AFter 20 years of smoking.

At the end of the day, you have to be more than READY to stop smoking. If you're not ready, NOTHING will work.

So true Cat.I gave up 1.1.12 BUT I have been having the odd one,can go a couple of weeks, but after a wine or if something really stresses me out I have the odd cheeky one.I know its stupid and some would argue I have not give up at all,but I do feel I have made some progress.I can breathe alot easier and am better off.Just can't quite quit totally.Am not making excuses but it really is one of the hardest thing I have ever tryed to do.Will get there.Good luck to any other quitters out there x

I know it's going off topic but are those yankee candles really the best?
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

If like me you really struggle to give up buy en electronic cigarette.  I have just got one for work so the flat does not smell and they are really good, it means I can 'smoke' as much as I want with no smell and no taste left on me or the flat.  A good one is about ?20 plus ?6.99 for a weeks worth of refills so is good value for money too.  By being a bit clever it can work out really cheap as whenever I just fancy one but not need it I use an old tip which has been used up.  I still get the feeling without the nicotine.  As we all know we do not need every cigarette we smoke and sometimes we light one just for the sake of it so using a used up tip is a good idea.
Truth is far more important than what one wants to hear. With truth there is no us and them or colour or religion there is just fact

You can buy Yankee Candles from QVC - either via the TV Channel or the website QVCUK.com and they are way cheaper than most gift shops etc...

Or so a friend told me. I'd never dream of watching a shopping channel (cough) :D

Don't brush your teeth 1 to 2 hrs before owo on client.
Brushing can cause bleeding gums; this can be an infection route for STI's.
Do not brush your teeth immediately before oral sex.
Use a non alcoholic mouthwash instead, before & after oral sex.

Flip-side: using mouthwash removes the substance found in saliva which can offer some level of effective protection.
Then again, most STDs are viral, and won?t be effected much by mouthwash.
Conundrum....

Stop smoking.   Sorted.  :)

Yankee Candle is today's special value (presumably only for next half hour) on QVC. I am not watching it, it's just the channel that came on when the DVD stopped, BTW  ;D
