Date ideas
« on: 27 April 2010, 08:59:19 am »
Ok guys. This is not really relavent to the job but well - you guys are a bunch of wordly ladies, many of whom live in London. So I need some advice. I am completely hopeless when it comes to the whole 'dating' thing, but this last 6 months I have been trying to find myself a fella, cos I feel kind of lonely. So I am seeing this guy in London on Saturday for the third time and I need ideas of what to do as I don't know London. So I am looking for reasonably cheap (or free) things to do in London (as we are both students) during the day, which are conducive to getting to know someone.

Ideas on a postcard!
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Well....what are you both going to be intereted in at the time(besides sex!) Theres nothing more attractive than somebody enjoying themselves.

Being a big ole geek, I would have to ask Google about dates rather than drawing on my own limited experiences. :P I love to drag my friends and any unfortunate boyfriend at the time to museums and galleries and clubs and pubs and parks but like Cindy said, all you need to do is look at your and his matching interests, really.

Now excuse me while I sit in a corner feeling bitter and alone. ;D I do wish you and your new fella the best, though, honest!

Sorry, no idea about London, but hope things work out with this guy. :)

Awww, Benny is a real human being. With feelings and lots of love to give  :)  (its meant to be funny, so laugh LOL)

Well, if its during the daytime..you have even more options Im sure. If it were up to me, in LONDON I would have the perfect date just walking from building to buidling admiring the European architechture. And Im sure there's some things to do outdoors. Is there some type of London tour thing where you could ride around the city on a large open bus?

It seems like alot of people near where I live have 0 idea of a real date except to go to the gaybars and act like fools. They are so ignorant about the world around them.

wait a minute...I noticed that they are all sitting in a circle in the daytime with (3) bottles of wine around them! Is London really that sophisticated? Because here in the US, wine is barely the choice for younger crowds. But I actually do like it though

I wish you well Benny, and really hope it works out for you.

I'm an old bird, so my idea of a good day out in London mostly revolves around a theatre visit, a walk by the river and some tasty scoff. But you are young and vibrant, so I'm sure you can do better  ;)

Just relax, go with the flow a bit and enjoy each other's company. Let us know how you get on.

Congratulations Benny. I can't help with London, but if you guys ever decide to come to Amsterdam, just call on yours truly.
