Potential Clients Voice - Decision to see them or not
« on: 17 June 2019, 07:38:16 pm »
Does a potential clients voice on the phone makes you decide whether you want to see them or not. As I just had a call from a punter and he had the creepiest voice. He asked how much my prices were, which I hate hate hate that question as I’m thinking you really should’ve read my profile. But I answered back with sass....

“well if you read my profile very carefully they are on there.”

It followed by him saying “forget it”

(Usually I give them a quick price list...which I shouldn’t do)

I had a big feeling he was a time waster. But his voice really creeped me out.

Am I the only one?

Absolutly
it's your gut feeling during that first initial conversation that is the decider if you will allow that stranger to be intimidate with you.
If you do not like the sound if their voice do not go ahead with making a booking .
I've had some voices sound like something out of a horror film I just said I was busy at the time they wanted and blocked
Some are rude snappy unpleasant you wouldn't want them in your home or visiting them.
Safety is priority
Also same goes with these guys if they like the sound of you they are more likely to go ahead and book you .
Keep safe x

Yes yes yes this is how i turn down bookings sometimes i do not like how they sound or there manners and there voice can put me off sometimes i hear 10 seconds of them when they first ring and i know instantly they are not getting a booking.

Manners, friendliness and politness and not being pushy or over demanding is what secures a booking for me.

Yes, it's a combination of actual voice, manner, tone and what they say. I'm struggling with one now and am keeping my fingers crossed he doesn't confirm...

Absolutely, if you feel it in your gut always turn down the booking (if you can) the amount of times when I had clients from an agency I would think “If you had called I wouldn’t even come up with a reason to not see you I would have just hung up” it’s such an indicator of how they’ll behave in person.

Absolutely!!!!

The main reason I insist on new clients calling me first. I want to hear their voice, I want to hear how they conduct themselves, I want to hear if they can have a little conversation, and the things they ask or say to me are important too.
To think when I first started, I would accept bookings without a phone call, I don’t know what I was even thinking!!

If I don’t like someone’s voice, I won’t take the booking. I want to feel safe and comfortable.

And I think it's the same with the clients speaking to us. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "Well, now that we've talked, I definitely want to see you/book you/have a session."

I conduct myself professionally on the phone, I'm not chewing gum or sounding like a hood rat or saying "Huh? What? Ummm...errrr..." etc.

I believe it makes it difference🤷🏼‍♀️.

Oh Yes and if someone sounds  like an ultra boring git, that is a big no no as well as the creepy/heavy breather types.

Nice guys, will sound nice on the phone and usually turn out to be even nicer than the initial phone call!

You girlies are totally right. You just gotta go with your gut feeling. Plus it’s so much better to hear their voice like MWM said, I hate ping pong texting and I don’t know what you’re like so why should I risk letting you into my space. That dude really creeped me out.
