You know what most I've missed in this job? That I could not share being happy about this work with other people. I was always alone, if I could tell somebody that I loved doing my work as a single worker, that I feel I was born to do this. I would write a book about this work, my feelings about it and what the work really is about. I would give my life for that.

Why do people hate prostitutes?

A question I sometimes think about now that I?m on the other side of the fence as it were. Mainly I think it has a lot to do with ignorance and jealousy. It?s very easy to make sweeping generalizations when in reality you have little or no knowledge / experience of something first hand. This why you hear all the rubbish about all escorts being on drugs, HIV positive, exploited etc. Jealousy - not just about the money side of things but also resentment against girls who CHOOSE to go into this profession, it?s like sticking two fingers up at society. I?m sure more people wish they had the guts to do what they wanted without letting the opinions of others hold them back. I also think that when you hate something about another person soooo much that you feel the need to vent about it in forum and make yourself crazy thinking about what a stranger is doing with their own life, it says more about you then about the object of your hatred.
