Blimey the member count is going up quite fast! At this rate there'll be 1000 members in maybe three or four months...
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

It doesnt matter how many members, it matters how many of those members are participating regularly in the threads/logging on.

I have lots of phone numbers in my phone, and I can promise that over half of them can be deleted! I just havent gotten the time to sort through them.

I know when I joined I lurked for a while, reading all the threads first. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Me too! I think I remember someone (Brandy? Or Anika?) saying that SAAFE is purposefully open with all areas accessible to 'guests' so that even girls/boys who don't want to register for whatever reason can still benefit from the good stuff round here. :) I'm grateful, because it always takes me ages to work up the nerve to post on a new forum! I swear, I find RL socialising far easier than hanging around on forums sometimes because *some* forums can be reeeeally scary and cliquey. At least in RL you can just give someone a smack if they're rude. ;D

No it doesn't. What matters most is that people take what they need from this site, the main part and the forum too. That's why it's open to all.

Absolutely. People have always been nervous when joining forums for the first time. This and any other forum. Fortunately, with this type of forum and what it offers, there are no cliques, so nobody needs to feel that they wouldn't be welcome here. They may not always get the advice they want to hear, but nobody can say they haven't had their questions/queries answered to the best of our ability.

yeah I  guess the main point is not so much whether people are logging on/chatting here, just that they derive the benefits and info from coming, like Ama...I think it took me a couple weeks are so to start threading, and before I would read the .info over and over for a couple weeks!

I'm new. I have to confess that I signed up a few days ago,but have waited to post.  I've told myself that I was just waiting for the right thread to post on, but to be honest I just got first time poster nerves.  :-[

So hi everyone.

well, I was nervous to post on the punter forums cos my profile and pictures were up; so I had to make sure I was careful what I say.

Otherwise, if you're any annonymous poster with no website or photo, I cant see how posting is scary. If someone 'calls you out', ya just click the x on the window and the whole thing ceases to exist LOL...but Im the type that cant help wondering who' saying what in a heated debate, whether its on earth or in cyber space  ;)

There's been some threads I've really didnt want to be involved anymore, but I was just tempted to read them and respond

So hi everyone.

Jas.

And welcome to you both.
You don't have to post if you don't feel comfortable doing so. What's more important is that you take whatever information you need from the forums. If anything comes up that's not covered on here , don't hesitate to post and ask.

I wonder how many of the registered members are straight men who have posted once or twice to inform us of their plans to become a escort to women, got the predictable response and then never been heard from again? I reckon it's only actually about a quarter of the total - it just feels like more.
