It was only about 2 weeks ago that I mentioned to someone that it seems to be a rule of thumb that when I am feeling utterly dreadful, the volume of calls I receive will literally triple. Fact. It's weird, it's almost like a sixth sense thing going on.  Hope you feel better soon :)

It's known as sod's law and usually will fall on the day when you have lots of definite bookings.

It always happens to me.  As soon as my condition has a flare up or episode my phone rings off the hook with all my regs wanting that day or the next when I know there is no way I can even answer the phone let alone do a booking.

I dont mind though as I dont count it as money lost I just see it as a few days rest.

I'm just getting over appendicitis (spelling?) and tonsillitis... i feel 99% better, but had a regular who wanted a booking today.

I begrudgingly accepted, but let him know i haven't been well so no owo or kissing, in case i were to pass any left over bugs to him (unlikely after the amount of antibiotics ive been on). He was cool with that, but halfway through the *ahem* crucial part, my stomach started to cramp - always good when youre going at it doggy style  :-\ Ended up telling him that i really wasnt feeling well, and offered to give him half an hours money back. Bless him, he didn't want it and saw himself out. I will make sure i make it up to him next time!

Turned my work phone off for the rest of the day. Happy with an hours money, especially when i feel like absolute poopsicles!

Redlady hope you feel in less pain, not much fun is it?, glad you managed to make some cash though. take it easy .... I tried working when i had the gallstones rumbling in me and I was on powerful painkillers and gripping my side, then after the op i was fit for nothing !!! 3 weeks later i was up to my old tricks again with the stitches out and trying to get clients, well it was a distraction as had been lying in bed for weeks so bored.
I asked the surgeon when i came round from anesthetic  would it be safe to have sex (this was same day as op) he looked at me rather strangley, if only he knew!!!  ;)

It's not good! I have painkillers now, high amounts of codeine which helped me float through today - would've been good if i'd had any bookings lol!
Feeling alot better, used today to chill and sleep :)

I wonder what the surgeon thought lol!

I just had to cancel tonight's client.  :-[

Am waiting to see how he reacts to the news as this is a first for me....I never usually do but, well I don't really go into it but I don't want to be far from home  :-[  ;D  :FF

I suppose there's a chance he'll think I'm a TW and not book me again?

OP you must do what is right for yourself.  You cancelled for good reason and if the client takes umbrage with that then that is not your problem.

No one likes to have to cancel appointments but it does happen from time to time.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I've recently broken a rib (non work related accident) and I had to turn down 3 overnight bookings :(
