Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love is my absolute favourite but I'd happily play the Phil Spector Christmas Album on repeat all December if I was allowed to.

Happy Christmas, I dont want to fight tonight by The Ramones is also on heavy rotation and my OH usually ends up singing it to me to make me laugh at intervals throughout the Holidays when my temper is about to boil over...

All I want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey is my secret cheesy favourite but destroys my fondly held illusion that I have any shred of musical credibility or any degree of cool :D

I can think of few that I LOVE and equally some I can't stand:

LOVE:

Fairytale Of New York - Kirsty McColl and the Pogues
Santa Baby - Eartha Kitt
Rocking around the Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee (have a sneaking fondness for that Mel & Kim's cheesy version from the 80s too)
Band Aid - Do they Know its Christmas
Last Christmas - Wham (yes I know but god love them!)

HATE:

Anything chrismassy by Mariah Carey - mainly because guys would always say when seeing her video.......' but she's so cute' usually in response to my 'but the songs terrible'.

Several others in both categories which I just can't think of atm.  I do love a good carol too.

Ooh, Christmas music  :D I spent ages making my Christmas ipod playlist before I realised that punters probably weren't that keen to hear it when visiting.

I love:

Christmas Wrapping - The Waitresses
Winter Wonderland - Macy Gray
Christmas in Hollis - Run DMC
Sleigh Ride - The Ronettes (and all the other Phil Spector stuff)
Mary's Boy Child - Boney M
All I want for Christmas - Mariah Carey
All of my Rat Pack Christmas CD

I hate:

Fairytale of New York - Pogues and Kirsty MacColl; I worked in a naff Irish theme pub fifteen years or so ago and it was all we heard from October onwards (the rest of the year it was The Irish Rover by same). I have every album the Pogues ever made but I've been known to walk out of shops when that comes on.

Any of the Cliff Richard ones. Dirge.

My very favourite of all is O Holy Night  :).

When I was a kid the classic Christmas song was obviously Slade (It's Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!) but as an adult, I have to admit they don't do much for me, probably because I spent 3 years working in a shop with an in-store radio and over the Christmas period you get somewhat sick of hearing them 60 times a day!

I know it's naff and doesn't really embody Christmas, but I like "A spaceman came travelling". When I was a kid I used to get really excited cos it promised Baby Jesus would come back in 2000. Joys of a Catholic childhood.... ;D

I'm a wee bit old school, I really love Christmas Carols. Time was we'd go to church on Christmas morning as a family and I'd love belting out Oh Come all ye Faithful and Hark the herald Angels Sing.

My yearly Christmas ritual is to purchase a bottle of prosecco, shut the curtains, wack Love Actually in the DVD player and get all my wrapping done in a oner, get happily pissed and greet at the end of the movie! Have done that nearly every  year since it was released and for me it's the count down to family time!

Not even started my Christmas shopping yet either. Urgh!
