I recently went independent too, and I'm doing really well, so I'm sure you can do it too! Make sure you advertise as many places as possible, there's a great article on this forum on where to advertise. That said I have been relying just on adultwork for a while, and it is working really well for me at the moment!

Make sure you have some nice pics, do the AW interview, have some decent prices, start lowish to get some feedback, and when you start getting regulars you can work your way up!

Edited to add: You have to spend money to make money! Put your phone number on AW, a lot of guys don't bother to send emails, and put yourself as available today. Make sure you have a private gallery, that will earn you credits that you can use to display your phone number, and use the available today feature.

Clarice, with working at the brothel you are far more experienced than us who went  indie from the very beginning; you already know how to deal with clients. Two areas you should  pay attention to are security and advertising. Best ways to work safe and sane are security buddy or buddies  and thorough screening. There are plenty of information  posted here, just use search function and take a peek at buddy link-up section. AW should work fine, as Adriana said, but in time think about setting your own page. Clients will take you much, much more seriously, you can charge higher rates  and if there is something like upper-end of escorting, ladies with decent websites definitely belong there. Oh, and take  best  looking photos - I am still strugling with this.

Couldn't agree more with this!  You have to speculate to accumulate!  Besides the really good advice you have been given already, especially re security and marketing, I would add two more:
 1) Read every thread of the ENTIRE Saafe forum, I did this when I started, it took days, and I had really sore eyes, but it was well worth it, it gave answers to questions I hadn't even thought of yet!
2) You are shifting from being an 'employee' to being self employed, running your own business.  That is a massive mindset and skill set change, and is definitely not for everyone, some people prefer not dealing with the business aspects of escorting, and may be better off with an agency, though I do think anyone can 'learn' the business skills needed, if they really want to.  To be a successful Indy you need to be business minded and super on the ball.  Read books on small business ownership and entrepreneurship, and basic economics, they all transfer pretty well to escorting.
