Don't know what you ladies earn via AW or other sites, for doing sex chat, but the max I earned was ?10 per hour for keeping the guy chatting for full hour... Earnings were based on how long you kept the guy on the phone for (a sliding scale of pay)
The majority of calls ended in seconds... I say 'Hi', guy grunts, then puts phone down... Earnings? 0.001p :FF

What? Chatting while doing your weekly shop in the local supermarket or strolling along the canal walk, talking about 'dirty stuff' as loving couples and elderly folk pass you by?
How 'did' Aneka? manage to mute the supermarket's disco dancing/shop 'til ya drop music, the general noisy, hustle and bustle of such a busy place, so she could actually hear the guy on the other end of the bloody phone?

I have a few comments to make on last night's programme.
Firstly, annoyingly, it's made it look like phone chat earns fortunes........... it doesn't and I have been doing it on and off for years (as a supplement to escorting) and I was amazed to hear someone paid around 400 pounds (I think) she said for one call.
I've been doing it via aw and yes, it's easy money but to earn anywhere near what they were suggesting you can earn, I would guess you have to literally have your phone on 24/7 so in real terms does it equate to a better earning then doing something else? The chances of earning big money in phone chat are slim, in my opinion. I'd be pleased to hear if any of you have any different views. Yes, I can build up the odd 20, 30, even more credits on aw here and there but to actually be able to earn anywhere near what an escort booking will bring you, is virtually impossible. During last night's programme didn't that Marny say she could earn 180 an hour? !!!! Of course, I have never done phone chat literally day in day out so maybe I am mistaken, but I doubt it.
Secondly, for those of us that do phone chat, it's not a great advertiser now is it? OK, so whilst there will always be men looking to phone us, it has now unfortunately, unveiled some of the home truths and hasn't done our industry any favours at all.
Perhaps it will be taken with a pinch of salt anyway and after all, guess the demand will always be there won't it? Perhaps when that woman and her man split up then he'll be back on the phone again................ (oh so cynical aren't I!).

Hilarious!!! You just wud not walk round a supermarket talking dirty on the phone. I think there is a lot of publicity stretching on this. I do phonechat via AW & camming which I luv. You can earn quite a bit but it wouldn't make you a good living.

Well I never - they never mentioned anything about the phone chat girls been an escort as well!!! What a media generated load of bollocks it turns out to be then - I agree it was rather daft Marny walking along the canal telling people on the phone to woof like a dog and then suddenly having a fantastic photographers job. The woman in the supermarket on the phone was kinkydirtybitch from adultwork., but her online persona is certainly very overt, so perhaps it's the norm for her to do so!! ;D Not sure how she can hear the clients though those places are seriously noisy!
I KNEW IT! I've just had a look at KinkyDirtyBitch/Amica Bentley/supermarket lady's AW blog. I never realised it was her, I'd seen her on AW and completely didn't connect. I really couldnt believe what I heard tonight...this marny woman is on aw and based in leeds. She is charging girls upto 150 to set them up an aw profile! A domme friend of mine, called and asked me to go round and see her, and when i did she had the woman there who paid marny to set her up on aw. Obviously she didnt realise it was a free site, as she is not in the industry but like many others since this program wanted some extra cash, thought fone sex would be the answer!
she has since been getting email advice (not as much as she was promised) and when she has tried to call marny, she has been offish and disinterested.
I dont know how she has the cheek, to make money off another woman and use her like that? well it is beyond me! >:(
Ive explained a lot more to her tonight - the truth this time - not telling her she will earn 500quid a day! and sorted her profile out, whether she has the confidence however, only time will tell. But id love to find a way of stopping any other women parting with their cash and lining her purse!

This was a great publicity stunt arranged between AW & my model agency & Channel 4.
Like any other paid job of this sort, that's precisely what it was - a job; they told me what they wanted to see & I did it.

Well since the thread is over a year old, I suspect most of the posters had forgotten al about it, but you clearly wanted to make the point and I can't say I blame you.
The same people are scratching about the Media Enquiries atm trying to get some freebies off the webcammers, if you fancy telling them to feck off.

The "freebie" the webcammers in question might be referring to was a fully clothed skype chat to discuss what the show involves.
I understand the cynicism surrounding these documentaries but I've done loads of them over the years & this is pretty standard.
If anyone is not in the mood for entertaining an investment of 10 minutes to ascertain whether or not the project is right for their marketing purposes then I'm sure they will be able to make that known.
Personally I am absolutely delighted to have any such free marketing!
That's actually what I was thinking when the webcam doc thread appeared ;D - BUT I cannot participate due to my *other* job. I wouldn't get fired or anything as serious as that, but my *other* work involves mixing with media people, and I can't spoil my chances of getting more *other* work by even making enquiries :( Hope to see YOU on there again, KDB ;D

Ah thanks Cat! I struggled to offer them the "non sexual" angle they were looking for given I specialise hardcore sex shows. Going public in such a huge way could and does have a huge impact. I even got recognised when I checked in for a tour the day after!! (no issues - it WAS in Earl's Court, after all!) :P
