Well to update, I have now had my second Hep B, I have for sure got flu coming on which I was imformed is a possible side effect of the shots, I got back in 2 weeks for my 3rd!  :(

I have decided I'm going to stick with the implant for now ha!

The nurse I saw agreed the coil CAN increase infection risk so the other one was an idiot lol I have never been keen on the idea so would be stupid to allow myself to be talked into something ive never liked!

Still waiting on blood test results then will have to go back in 12 weeks to get blood tests again to see how the Hep B injection is doing and test again for HIV. The first test doesn't include the 12 weeks previous so I have to go again.

Rock on! but *high five* so far im disease free lol  ;D

I wouldn't recommend the coil at all!! my friend had one fitted and she got an infection and bled constantly - suppose it is a good contraceptive though since you cant really have sex while wearing one.......

I found the Hep B ones were really sore, but worthwhile and anything to help put the mind at rest. Didn't get any side effects that I can remember though.

I felt quite cheated tbh! My first I didn't even feel, only realised it was done when I saw here pull away. Second one was a bit more ouchie.. whch is fine but hurt so much next day and bruised  :( I remember from from travel jags the more you get the more they hurt god damn it lol

Yeah the GUM clinics can be hit or miss. I liked the last person I saw. All the rest have always lectured me about using wet wipes but during cam shows nothing else is practical at all. This one totally understood and just said aim for fragrance free. Like with the coils the other ladies think my concern is you will see the threads! (they must think im a proper idiot!)

What's everyones thoughts on how often we should get tested?

Forgive my ignorance...  :-[ What's the problem about using wipes?

Anything perfumed down there can give you yeast infections etc

Aha! Yes, I knew that  :-[ I've only ever used fragrance free or a damp flannel, forgot there were perfumed ones out there! :D
