Title: 'Client' correcting my profile...
Post by: GothGirl on 30 June 2017, 07:55:00 pm
Why would somebody even go to the effort of sending this  ::)

I just wondered if you would like to be able to make a series of very small changes to your profile just to help it read better.

All I am suggesting is removing a few commas! If this annoys you just ignore it - people can still understand you perfectly well.

Those that are not needed (with the section title they are in) are:

Texts: bookings,

About Me: natural,

Location: message,

What clients...: clients, see, right, clients,

Client etiquette: incall, always, same, yourselves, anybody,

How do I book?: displayed,

Me a retired English teacher? How did you guess...

I call them proof readers. Some men watch your profile to see what you remove then call and ask about it. I think its boredom  ;D

I assume this is a man you have not met. Why not ask him the best way to clean up after he has shot his load.  He will no doubt know best.  :D

I'll be the first to admit that I hate bad grammar and punctuation - I used to pass a shop on the bus to work that I couldn't even look at because the signs in the window were so bad ("drink's", "sandwich's" and so on) but to point something like that out without being asked and without any prior contact at all is unbelievably rude. Patronising cunt.

No doubt his teaching colleagues were as glad to see the back of him as the kids. I'll bet that was some party :D.

A man I see who thinks he is a paragon of perfection in everything, one of those who argues black is white in conversations has mentioned the bad grammar before, not mine I have to say. The professional shop signs (I see them often and am always astounded a pro sign writer gets it wrong, ) are his bugbear and he once said to me "yes I seen one yesterday" !!!!! ??

I had to hold in my laugh and just let him get away with that one.

I had a booking with someone who'd printed off pages from my website, and spent quite a lot of time during the booking asking about wording, and 'ooh you have this on'. I don't think he realised how critical he sounded, and it was strange.

Some people think they are being helpful.

I think that is sad and ridiculous and just shows how involved some men get, rather than just choosing and booking and having a nice time.

I don't think it's sad, I was however concerned that one person told me he kept a file at home full of printed off profiles for the Escorts he'd seen.

Even sadder (in MY opinion)

So this concerns you but the man who brought with him the printed pages did not concern you too? He could also have had a filing cabinet full of them.

+ 1. I know I have no clue how to use commas in English but it's true that apart from that bad spelling makes my skin crawl. I can't stand it. It's torture for me.
Personally I can't walk past LUSH shops. The smell makes me sick. There's one I can't really avoid near me so what I do is i take a deep breath and just rush like crazy :FF
Back to grammar and spelling, I had a couple of those guys. Giving me advice. Or even better, telling me how to improve my marketing. Or recently a moron calling from London explaining to me I should tour London: this is where good money is and "best clients" (his words)

It ended with me telling him that if I ever decide to hire a pimp one day, I'll be in touch.

I have heard of cases in a particular city where guys do this, not to be helpful, but to be really pedantic and go over your services one by one in order to try and catch you out.

Much more sad and/or wierd.

That is so patronising. I don't know how you got through that booking. Very sad lives these men must have. As someone said I think they just want to scrutanise every word you write and try and catch you out and then make out you don't offer services you promise.

He was the man with the filing cabinet, and I've seen just one other who had pages printed off. Others could go the same, and some people do this with everything they buy or are interested in. These are the clients who bring the print outs, I have no way of knowing how many others do the same and simply keep them in their bag, car, pocket or leave them in a desk, office, home or other place.

It could be anything, from a patronising controlling attitude, some innocent developmental disorder, too much time on his hands, an awkward way of introducing himself, need to reminisce his teacher glory days and an excuse to tell you he was a teacher before you even met thinking he will be admired etc.

That'd be an ignore for me. Did he even ask for a booking?
