Well after several months of less than great weekends I have come to the point to stop advertising in my area. And after consulting a couple of friends (and Violette, thanks girl!) I have decided that once I find a regular 'something', which should be happening any day now, Im only going to 'work' from new towns for atleast the next few months...

I remember when I worked for a phone company for about a year, my job was to develop leads and sell to customers all over the U.S. and sometimes to Canada and abroad. I cannot imagine having to call customers soley in our city, or even state for that matter! No, we'd contact people from all over, and thats the whole point. If I keep advertising here in this dump, I'll be dead before summer.  And I dont want to die yet. I want to live 

So I'm done with it now. Once I find something regular Im going to just quit working in this area and then just plan visits to other cities occasionally...and get work and live on. Atleast thats how it may have to be for the mean time. Just get on with it, shit.

Joey, I have to say that if I only worked weekends I would be well on the way to starving too - is this the only time you are available? The VAST majority of my bookings are during office hours and I often have entire weekends with only 1 or 2 bookings or none at all

I wish it was as easy as said...but no, in reality nearly every city that I've worked out of the bookings have mostly been vice versa....meaning, at night. When I first started advertising in the area, I did have a few mid-day appointments during the week, but the bulk was always at night. I dont know why that difference exists...but it just does. I cant remember the last time I had a day-time booking during the week...and Im always available around that time too, and at night 

But I am definently taking your advice to advertise early...far early than all the other times I've done so. Regardless Im running my ad for 1 more week in this dump and then Im pulling it off the shelves and shipping it to other stores
