Do you think staying in a location 2 long can be bad for business?

If you are in a small town then yes they might get bored.

Tricks like changing pics etc usually help but if you are working somewhere like for years and they recognise you then it is good to travel elsewhere.

I'm sure there's already a thread on this, but in a nutshell opinions seem to be 50:50:

Pros: Over time, you weed out 90 percent of the cretins and build up a stable of decent regulars.
Cons: Loss of 'new escort' effect.

Depends on location. I tour the UK. I don't like staying in one place long.
Also depends on size of area. Are you in a big town or city?

Several years in the midlands, very busy and if not it’s because of some “external factors” like sports events or weather. Many regulars, can’t complain.

This is a how long is a piece of string question really - how do you want to work? Not everybody wants or likes having regulars, and when you talk about changing locations do you mean changing where you're based or just touring for a few days in different places? You can also base yourself somewhere which will always have a steady stream of new business and have both if you don't want to keep moving (which works for me).

There isn't a 'right' answer and only what's right for you but rethinking things every so often is a really useful thing to do and just because a particular place or way of working suited you a year or five years ago doesn't mean it still will now :).
