Does a bombardment of texts prior to a booking put you off?

In my experience these often turn out to be timewasters who get off on texting. But does anyone else get totally put off by clients bombarding you with texts once they've made a booking? I've actually cancelled a booking today due to constant texting. He's confirmed about 5 times, telling me he is crazy to meet me, sent me a pic of himself. It drives me nuts.

Yes sometimes this is across different platforms, AW, social media, sms text, emails, DMs, and phone calls. This is boundary pushing verging on harassment, sometimes someone like this does calm down after the first booking. I will pull some up on this, make it clear they are coming across as an idiot or that I cannot manage messaging to that extent. Sometimes this type will say they want to have a good time, so I might ask why they are making themselves seem like someone difficult, being a pain in the neck, and or ignore excessive messages.

From the start, I make it clear that the only reason to conversate with me is to make a booking (lol). So any other conversation I just ignore/reply simple responses like 'okay' 'thank you'. If they compliment me after the booking I just heart the comment.

The real clients actually prefer the professional approach. If you do the 'yes baby' etc you're giving them free sex chat and will invite tw.. in my opinion.

Yessss! With me it's the people who text and WhatsApp me at the same time. I half wish I didn't have WhatsApp on my work phone but I'm in a couple of group chats with other SW's and I'd hate to lose those. I usually just straight up ask "why are you clogging up my phone, was 5 minutes too long to wait?" And they're either super apologetic or an ass about it. That or I'll just block the WhatsApp so they can only get me via text.

I also get really annoyed with people who book and THEN ask a bunch of questions after confirmation. I tend to block those as they usually make it clear they haven't read my profile.

I don't think people realise that we have the ability to chose who we see. I don't get paid for endless texting to I won't engage in it.

Thank you for cementing my decision to not use WA on my advertised number.

What I do is have a separate non-advertised phone for paid WA sessions, sending (paid for)videos & photo, I use this number/phone for support groups.

It’s a red flag for me , Iv also cancelled due to this. It comes across as obsessive and desperate which i don’t want to be around. Also I feel those types have unrealistic expectations which as a human I might not meet ! One time I had so many texts from same guy I couldn’t get ready to be on time for the booking and realised his actually had my time and attention . Trusting our gut is key x

Someone who continually texted me prior to a booking is an automatic block for me. Some guys (in my humble opinion) seem to think it's a date :FF It unnerves me and as I usually worked from home it was enough for me not to see that person.

Really winds me up.

I once had a guy kept messaging me all afternoon about a half hour booking that evening.

When he arrived he was gone after 15 minutes  ;D ;D serves him right.

Those that are only sending pointless messages get very short responses from me. Yesterday a guy messaged to tell me how hot my latest pics were. I just gave him a thumbs up and left it at that

I find:

If they ask questions AFTER booking then they haven't read my profile and they are most likely to cancel.

Those that send loads of messages - even if they aren't questions, they are just chatting - well, I generally don't reply at all - who has time for that?! But if and when I do reply it is just short and professional and I will always just refer them back to my website.
I don't chat at all, but I also don't cancel.

Surprisingly, they sometimes turn up anyway, even though I haven't replied to their many messages!

I've found that these tend to be the ones who want constant contact all day and then cancel with fifteen minutes to go, so I don't put up with it. Even if they're genuine, I'm not a support human for needy, insecure men.

I actually had this a couple of months back with a punter I'd seen once before; on the day of his booking he sent over twenty texts and I told him when he arrived that this was not OK. He truly couldn't see what the problem was.

Thanks to this and being a drain generally I won't be seeing him again, although I doubt he'll be in touch anyway ;D.

I always say sorry I’m in the shower can’t talk see you when you get here. Then I don’t answer anything more. If they carry on I just say text me when you arrive at the hotel thanks. And then they often get the hint.
The worst questions about what are you wearing. Bla bla. I just ignore.
