Common health issues resulting from job and how to prevent

As the title states, has anyone found this job and quite repetitive activities cause any health conditions/physical ailments over the years? How did you prevent / manage it?

I’m high volume and over the years find that I’ve got less energy, get tired easier and not have the stamina for more “strenuous activity”.

Experienced shooting sharp paralysing lower back pain every now and then, to a point when my lower back is now chronically sore. Very worried about this and believe this developed as a result. Hand and knee pain too. I’m early 30s, started mid 20s.

I have a website and say I am a life coach. I am sure you could make something up.

I have mild lordosis of the spine and one leg slightly longer than the other (which is common) and cannot get on with foot insoles.

What job do you tell the physio you have?

I tell physio etc about my hobbies, activities, vanilla job. I have however told one an osteopath explained I would prefer this to not go onto my notes (rural location), he was curious but could tell I wasn't going to give him any exciting details. He focused more on my physical training/sports training/another hobby that is fairly active. I think most people are a bit "don't want to go there" even if it could be relevant. I didn't want to give him wank fodder, nor provide any client/my activities in that sort of work info. Other professionals I decided not to tell because of overlaps in our lives. I kind of decide based on a safety/discretion for everyone basis. Mostly I don't.

If I was in the middle of London or AN other large city I probably would be fine with disclosure.

Yes I just mention this because I saw a physio once and said I did admin. He kept going on about this and it didn't really explain my physical parts of this job. (A lot is admin thought)

Yep I have an impinged ulner nerve and am awaiting surgery .

I was asked if I lean on my elbow a lot. I lean on it to give blow jobs ans when in doggy so I know that’s what’s caused it lol

As well as this job my other job is quite physical. I got to the gym for strength training 2/3 times a week, think it’s really good to help protect our health. I’m 37 but still feel great, hopefully will keep me going for longer!

Hi lovely’s, I’m turning 30 this year been escorting 7 years. I’ve developed some issues I think that are caused by the job, I had one guy pull my shoulders back while in doggy position and I felt a pull in my mid back the side of my spine this injured me quite badly couldn’t work my civvy job for months and I struggled with my back ever since, also my neck/base of my skull has progressively gotten worse which I can only assume is repetitive strain.

I’ve seen private physio and also had different scans and nhs physio where I’m told there’s nothing they can find! Private physio definitely helped a bit with the use of cupping/ red light therapy and acupuncture. I also go for Thai massage when I need a quick fix when it flares up. I stretch and do mobility every day, Pilates weekly. And recently back into weight training 3x a week.
But I have also learnt how to listen to my body, I think this is so important and I don’t think many women are aware of this. I never used to be when I started out doing this, I’d run my body to the ground just to be earning enough but no money in the world is worth more than your mental and physical health. Working with your hormones and cycle is highly beneficial and can get you more out of this job. This is what I have personally learnt anyway.

Another thing is that our bodies store emotions and trauma and it can manifest into ailments and pains, there is a book called “the body keeps the score” very interesting read. Therapy and other holistic treatments can help massively. I could go on forever as it’s something I’m really passionate about exploring so if any of you ladies have any questions or would like a chat about anything I would do my best to give recommendations and advice. I’m not a professional just speaking from personal experience and would love to help anyone. ❤️

Great advice and lovely of you to offer up this advice, I am a big fan of redlight therapy and supplements. It's especially important to not push the body or mind in this job, I listen ti my body now.

I have regular chiropractor and thai yoga massage.

I get problems in neck i think awkward angles when giving blow jobs.

I am going to take up Pilates and yoga and see if that helps.

Swimming meant to be brilliant as well as gentle on injuries.

I don't think we realise how much physical work having sex all day is! It isn't as easy as lie on your back like most people think.

Plus I tour a lot via public transport so carrying laptop bag, lifting suitcases and bags etc. And never fully relaxing. Alot of people hold stress in shoulders as well so tense up.
